Is Michael Jackson's death the new 9/11?

What the hell?  The last time I saw such a media frenzy was after 9/11.  It took only 24 hours for the first hour-long tribute to Michael Jackson to air.  Since then, I've encountered at least 5 more specials and the news coverage is non-stop.

I hate to sound callous, but a probable child molester is now dead.  Get over it.

  1. It's especially ridiculous after the media constantly called him 'Wacko Jacko' while he was alive. Now, he's our lost national treasure. How pandering.
Can you possibly be serious? "Never forget" that he died of a drug overdose.
LOL When I first looked at "exhibit A" I thought BOTH images were for Michael's passing! I was like, "an eagle crying??" Now, I see it's not as bad as all that. Whew.

  3. I dont know. Think of the freakish set of people you'd attract. They'd come running over like you were a long lost brother. Through tears, they'd say, "Thank Jesus, finally someone who understands what I'm going through with this!" Next thing you know, you're being inducted into NAMBLA as an honorary member.
